Discover yourself in nature. A day with movement and nature set the frame for exercises that will uncover your motivations, and what group dynamics mean to you.
Session 1: Prep your colleagues for a ride, a value workshop
Values in Action. Platform for discussing the ongoing work around integrating our organizational values into everyday practices.
Practical exercise: Here we will discuss how upcoming e-bike trip up mountain requires, and people are asked to prepare their colleagues (including their lunchbags).
How: Moderated discussions in smaller groups, exercises & affirmation.
Outcome: Clarity of where we stand, possibilities of growth and next steps.
Session 2: e-biking up the mountain
Groups of 2. all groups take varying routes and/or start af different times to avoid crowded paths. Take in the nature and prepare for the exercises of the day. Stops under way.
How: In groups of two, participants will use e-bikes to get to the top. They will have experiences on the way getting there.
Outcome: Let nature do the talking. Experience fresh air and rejuvenate.
Arrival chalet
As nature is part of this offer, we suggest a base for the day, that oozes nature and freedom of movement. A mountain cabin will be the base for the day’s activities. It’s rustic, it’s rural and it’s cozy.
Cozy lunch & moderated conversations
Simple lunch by the fireplace in our chalet. Each plate has conversation cards that form basis for communication with seating partner.
How: Lunch with moderated conversation.
Outcome: Questions meant to explore seating partners’ motivations, and curiosity in meeting colleagues.
Break: Mindfulness & Soundbathing
Let’s slow down. Exersize with structured breathing, based on Wim Hof’s breathing techniques. A short exersize with profound results: Participants will increase their capacity for holding their breaths with 50%. For the adventurous, they can put it to work with Wim Hof’s ice baths or the more deep experience of soundbathing.
How: In front of cabin, surrounded by nature, we have a structured process of mindfulness and breathing exercises.
Outcome: Exercises show that even with minimal preparation time drastic results can be achieved.
Session 3: Break: Feedback exercise and Tools for good Communication
Talk ‘n’ walk. In this session, we will dive into the coaching approach, where you will learn how to use simple yet powerful questions and Feedback techniques as tools for everyday problem-solving and improving understanding among team members.
How: Exercise in giving constructive feedback and effective communication techniques, moderated via fun physical tasks.
Outcome: Better understanding of colleagues, and new tools for engaging constructively, that can be put into practice at work.
Session 4: Wrap-up and presentations of key learnings
All together, a wrap-up session, where groups discuss their take-aways from the day. And more importantly, discuss ways to keep them relevant, day-to-day. Findings are presented for all.
How: Staged presentation and explanation of take-aways. Moderators will ask questions and solicit team’s conclusions.
Outcome: Buy-in of process and value work of the day. Final thoughts, key learnings, and what are we willing to commit to in order to honor our values tomorrow?
Session 5: Prep for dinner in nature
Based on earlier exercise in problem solving and collaboration, group is asked to divide and organise work relating to evening’s dinner. Outside the groups will gather and collect items to be used in the dinnner. Whether firewood or mushrooms: Nature will provide.
How: Groups of four. Cabin is in the middle of nature, surrounded by forrest. We will take advantage and forage for firewood and ingredients.
Outcome: Time to process, and see surrounding nature. And firewood is needed for the BBQ.
Session 6: Cook your own meal over bonfire
The teams forms to collect firewood and organising, take next step and start the grills and organize different parts of a dinner.
How: Pro-chef’s will solicit help from group. Groups are to organise a division of tasks, based on earlier exercises.
Outcome: Dinner is a simple project, that now will form the basis for a real life test of the techniques that the groups have been working with all day (sufficient food is guaranteed).
Session 7: Wrap party for your company’s culture!
Wrap party: Dinner with conversation cards: Tricky questions to get a new conversation started with your seating partner. Afterwards party with DJ.
How: Dinner is taken inside, and an evening of fun and coziness follow: Food, drinks & good vibes!
Outcome: Feeling of achievement and connection with each other. Willingness to engage in our common goals.
